Opegrapha lithyrga Ach.


Thallus very thin, grey to green or brown, lacking soredia, sometimes in mosaics with other species; apothecia black, lirellate, rounded or ellipsoid to elongate and sinuous, ascospores 5-7 septate, 20-35 × 3-5 µm (dimensions from Pentecost & James, in Smith et al., 2009). On sheltered, shaded, siliceous and ultrabasic rocks, often under overhangs, mainly in the west.
