Schismatomma quercicola Coppins & P.James

Thallus thin, greyish white to brownish, scratching yellow-orange (Trentepohlia photobiont), surface with small, discrete, rounded soralia that are distinctly pink in the field; apothecia unknown. A very local species of old woodland in the south and west, especially southern England and north-west Scotland, apparently endemic to Britain and Ireland.
